The agreement for using Cadence
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Cadence, a universal smart-TV remote app for iPhone. Please read them carefully.
By downloading, installing, or using Cadence, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Cadence on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's usage rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.
Cadence controls smart TVs that connect to your Wi-Fi network and expose a network control protocol — including many Roku, Samsung, LG, Sony, Android TV, and Fire TV devices. Cadence communicates with your TV over your local network only.
Cadence is not an infrared (IR) remote and cannot replace one. iPhones have no IR blaster, so Cadence cannot control older TVs or devices that only accept infrared signals. Cadence works only with TVs reachable over Wi-Fi. Please confirm your TV is a compatible Wi-Fi smart TV before purchasing.
Compatibility depends on your TV's brand, model, firmware, and settings, and on both devices being on the same network. We do not guarantee compatibility with every TV, and manufacturers may change their protocols at any time.
Cadence offers optional Cadence Pro purchases that unlock premium features:
The following standard terms apply to the auto-renewing subscriptions (Weekly and Annual):
The Lifetime option is a one-time, non-consumable purchase and does not auto-renew. Prices may vary by region and are always shown before you confirm.
In addition to these Terms, your use and any purchases are also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (the Licensed Application EULA), available at:

Cadence is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, that it will discover or control any particular TV, or that manufacturer protocols will remain compatible. Cadence is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roku, Samsung, LG, Sony, Google, Amazon, or any TV manufacturer; all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of Cadence. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Cadence after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
